James F. Boyd, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and oncology. He has received numerous honors and awards in the field of oncology, including a Professional Education Award by the American Cancer Society and “The Vision of Hope Award” by AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

A past-president of the North Carolina Oncology Association (NCOA), Dr. Boyd continues his membership with NCOA and many other societal memberships including: North Carolina Medical Society, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Southeast Cancer Control Consortium, Duke Oncology Consortium, and the American College of Physicians. He is a past Chief of Staff at Presbyterian Hospital and currently serves on the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina.
